Sort button for backpack/bank inventory

There are so many times I needed a button like this. I like to have all my gear sorted, much like the sort button in NWN2.This should be easy to create, you already have something similar in vendors.

But, how would it sort? Problem is many players place items based on use and need. If it were to put all pots together but I don't need half of them, that wouldn't help. Besides, you have to have something to do while waiting for group to fill, go bio, etc. ;-)

As long as there were an option not to have the button, that would be okay, knowing me, I'd accidently click the button and jostle all my gear.

I agree this would be nice in the bank, but with the new personal inventory view you can sort by things like only potions, scrolls, weapons, whatever.

As of U7, we do have a sort feature for our backpacks. Not only that, but a search feature as well.

What attribute are you wanting to sort by?
