Level 10 Update: This build is working well; good dps (tempest!), AC is still useful, longswords are cheap and plentiful.
Level 14 Update: The level progression was perfect; I was just starting to feel that AC alone wasn't really cutting it anymore (GH and vale stuff), balanced by more and longer displacement dragonmarks, when 6 monk rolls around and I get ninja incorporeal. The combo is unbelievable.
Level 18: Decided once and for all to go fighter 8 for the extra feat. I took toughness since I couldn't decide, and I can always switch it out later.
Update 19: WAAAAY more possibilities now. If I were to rebuild this build, now, it would use scimitars or rapiers.
Dwarf with either axes or picks and hammers is amazing.
Human/PDK with khopeshes and bastard swords (you've got the feats to spare)
Bladesworn THF with falchions and greatswords; just replace the ranger levels with paladin
