Default Light Repeater: Kensai, Mechanic, Deepwoods Sniper

As complex as that sounds, it gets worse to actually plan out... When I first made a trap monkey I found out that mechanic gives you free access to the light repeaters so I thought to myself... could a multi classed human fighter/rouge/ranger be viable? I was gonna try arcane archer but they only produce arrows and the SP on this build ... well it's horrid.

Mainly I just wana see thoughts and opinions, I might never actually make this build ingame.

Interesting idea - would have gone Drow: 8/17/14/18/8/10 and 7 Fighter/7 Rogue/6 Ranger
Extra Fighter gives Tough III and a few extra HP - Rogue 8 doesn't seem to give you anything

Not sure if this build is a good idea, buuuut...

I would drop Nimble Fingers and Dodge / Mobility / Shot on the Run for extra melee feats: Finesse, PA (need higher STR), GTWF, Imp Crit. I might pick up heavy repeaters. I'd also dump-stat CHA & WIS for STR, probably. Skills look decent EXCEPT you want max UMD.

Default :) Had the same idea a few weeks ago, char is being made atm

I have a build similar to this, who is currently sitting at level 12.

Though since I am not currently at home I can't post the details at the moment.

However I chose to go human for an extra feat and +1 to skills. Drow is an option but will take a con penalty, though the extra to hit and int are nice.

As a 32 point I went with the following stats:
    Str 8
    Dex 17
    Con 14
    Int 17
    Wis 8
    Cha 8

Eat +2 int tome at 7. Requires +2 dex tome for Imp precise shot. Eat +2 other stat tomes as available.

    All level ups into INT.
Level split is 7 rogue (as 8 will not add anything special except skill points), 7 ranger (want the past life), 6 fighter.
Another option is going 8 fighter and 6 in the others, trading 1d6 sneak attack for yet another feat.

Level order is not optimal but I chose to go with:
    1-6 rogue
    7-8 ranger
    9 fighter
    10-13 ranger
    14-19 fighter
20 rogue (this is to even out your skills)

Feats are in order (subject to change):
    Toughness (human bonus)
    Rapid reload (level 1 feat)
    Evasion (level 2 rogue)
    Focus ranged (level 3 feat)
Point blank shot (level 6 feat)

    Bow strength (level 1 ranger)
    Rapid shot (level 2 ranger)
    TWF (level 2 ranger)
    Diehard (level 3 ranger)
    Percise shot (level 9 feat)

    IC ranged (level 1 fighter)

    Heavy repeater (level 12 feat)
Improved Two Weapon Fighting (level 6 ranger)
    Manyshot (level 6 ranger)

Improved precise shot (level 2 fighter)
    Finesse (level 15)
Weapon spec ranged (level 4 fighter)
    GTWF (level 18)
    IC slash (level 6 fighter)

The idea is to see if melee can be made viable by using kukris and other light slashing weapons, especially the Midnight Greetings may be workable as it uses int modifier for damage.

As for enhancement choices, the prereqs for Mechanic, Kensai and Deepwood sniper. Toughness enhancements (should have at least racial II and fighter II), human adaptability int, possibly human heal amp I, sneak attack damage enhancers. Yes, deepwood sniper is horrible, but part of my motivation for actually building the thing was to get a ranged clicky attack.

If I were to redo it, I would get heavy repeater prof rather than toughness at 1. The reason for this is that as I picked up repeater proficiency at 12, up until which I with acceptable efficiency had been using light and heavy crossbows (those light repeaters are expensive at the ah), I started tearing up the mobs before I even get to them. I zerg through quests fps style, with the repeater clearing the path in front of me... I expect this will change at even higher levels. However I can always fall back in sneak. The one problem I have had though is with to hit. But that may be because I have yet to actually be given the choice of the raven gloves despite quite numerous runs of the tide turns.

I have yet to try out melee, there simply hasn't been any need for it so far. If it turns it is not worth it due to lacking too much strength, then that would free up 3 feats. Maybe sap could be an option to make sneaking in epics easier (if it works in epics) and possibly great crossbow to have complete crossbow proficiency.

Overall the build is excellent fun to run. It will at 20 be able to do epic traps, with mere standing skills and no buffs, howeer the reflex save vs traps needs a boost from at least human adaptability to get reasonable chances of surviving. I will get back with more info once I get back home and can access my files, though that may not happen until tomorrow.
