Yeah, there was much flaming. I was very much enjoying the entertainment, but honestly it's gotten stale now.

This weekend had better be good....

If you run Epic like you say you do I would think you would have figured out all of the above by now....or you getting dragged through those too?
Actually moving out of combat could be really bad, since it moves you out of mass heal range. Even worse you could be the target for mass heals, and moving out when you get squeamish causes everyone else to die.

Though on the other hand, if all your healers DC or something then getting out of there and changing up your approach for a little bit is best.

In groups where people dont know each other, healers should be calling out their anchor so you know if you are taking heals away from everyone else.

Im not sure how to respond to this....

    For the discussion at hand:

If you know the cleric is mass healing on you, stay in to the death unless told otherwise.

If you know the cleric isnt mass healing on you, pull out if you can heal yourself, otherwise stay in till the death

If people start dying its hard to decide. The cleric might have lost their anchor and decide to use you, in which case you are taking heals from everyone, otoh the only way to survive and avoid a wipe may be to pull out. Usually at this point its a **** shoot and you just make a decision.

As far as the harpers go, I would think they would ALWAYS use the pull out method in order to survive to fight another day

As an extremely large number of parents can tell you, pulling out is not nearly as effective as you might believe.

The only time I ever see Clerics going in with their aura on is when they are almost out of SP because it's the 3rd round and the melees are still filing Harry's toenails. Any cleric can solo heal part-4 if everybody is breaking DR, so quit blaming us for your failures.

Is it just me or is this thread going to be necro'd at least once a day by another double entendre?

If it's bumped by a Harper, it doesn't even need to be a double entendre. Single works just fine for them.

I pike on the ledge, or in the first class lobby.

Harpers NEVER pull out... guild rule. It is an ineffectual solution at best and not as fun. And you know me... I will drink pots till the cows come home to finish...think we did it once with Symp's bard healing and 3 rangers and an arcane finishing him off when the lag monster used to be bad.

Seriously though if I am healing I stress it before we start 4 and call out my anchor...and if for some reason that guy goes down( hasn't happened in a long time..but did have a DC once) I will call out the next. Only time I have had a problem was when a PUG decided he knew best and pulled out despite knowing he was the anchor and we were staying through the blades. I lost 3 people before I realized what happened. Luckily I never rarely if ever cleric a shroud without knowing someone these days so now I always choose someone I know as my anchor even if they are not an optimal choice.

almost, cept it doesn't remove the poisens and what have ya's.
one cleric throwing mass heals can keep a group up, with minimal SP.

Those players should have the forethought to cast Neutralize Poison on themselves via pot. There's no excuse not to.

Even if they all had proper buffs items, its still worth casting if your melee can survive the cooldown due to its sp cost.
