    Default Dear clerics,

please stop standing next to Harry with your Aura up and throwing cure lights, this is not an effective way to heal and usually causes a party wipe.

Is it ok if they throw mass cure mods and mass heals? :P

A maximized empowered cure mod is nearly as good as a mass heal but for whatever reason every time I see someone using this strategy we die and usually the cleric dies first. Sigh.

Simple empowered cure lights covers 90% of healing required in shroud. Supplement cure mod for the other 10%.

I learned that the first few second of my very first shroud run. There was no wipe, though i was wondering why i was taking that much damage for no reason. And that was before the Healing Aura.. (well its good though it is situational and doesn't require a rocket science diploma to understand that..)

My cleric can stand toe-to-toe with Harry, I build them tough.

However, I don't do that. One mistake, a bit of lag, whatever and the party is in trouble.

The remaining cleric/fvs can probably handle it, but why put that pressure on them?

An easy part 4 becomes a lot harder.

    Default Dear Melee's

Please get some hit points and a some sort of Proof against poison. ALso get some weapons that break DR so that you dont have to be in there longer than necessary.

    Thanks.

I have 700 hit points and a minII, besides you don't need DR breakers on normal. At any rate how do you let people DIE in part 4? Easiest raid in the game, nobody should be dying in part 4.

It's always easier to blame the cleric...

perfer to spam mass heal because everyone is getting poisoned and diseased throughout the fight (because they are noobs) and only mass heal will keep them alive. infact i can afk go to sleep and just spam mass heal and no one will die, i dont even have to auto atk, just stand somewhere and spam it. healing is such a joke now there is no need for stupid strategies.

Let people die? Because the 250 hp melee toons without heavy fort can't last between normal castings of mass cures, that's how. But it's not their fault, of course. It's the cleric's fault, for letting them die.

Yes, there are some less than ideal toons in Shroud and your reasoning makes complete sense. If that was the case then I would completely agree. But I knew all of the melee in this particular shroud and there was no excuse for them to die. It's not really hard to heal shroud, I solohealed it my first time running through there on my favored soul. The funny thing is every time I broach the subject about poor performance on the clerics and/or favored souls part it's always the melee's fault? Here's a clue, sometimes healers are bad! LOL

Not shroud related but I was running amrath last night with a cleric who was casting cures on me that were landing for between 20-40 pure cure and I have 20% healing amp!

Sure, great for between fights but when I'm taking all the aggro and have 15 barbazu, orthons and trolls on me a cure critical might be appropriate at the very least.

I'm pretty certain he couldn't have had any sort of healing amp or empowering going on to hit me for that little. Plus he died about 20 times.

I didn't complain, he was a nice guy and I'd run with him again (since I'm too nice) but DAYUM.

Thanks the ddo gods a bard joined after the first quest and was a fantastic healer.

So you were in there solo Meleeing? I generally have at least 7 or 8 folks in melee...

700 hit points is decent.. but not impressive.

-15 points of damage per swing isnt important? interesting.. That sheds a lot of light on your commentary
