Message Board for Guildships

Hello all. I was discussing with other guildmates recently the best way to communicate in game (other than mail) given many of us are often on at different times. Officers can post a message of the day under the guild tab but there should be a way for someone to post within guild regardless of officer status. I think one easy way to accomplish this would be a ship message board which could help other guidlies know what someone is looking for (an item maybe) or times for specific quests and raids.

I realize some guilds have guild websites for this info but many players I think do not use them and for newer players this can be a realatively easy way to communicate and not hard to implement in game. I propose that the DEVs consider having a message board for guildships for all members to post (unless the guildleader prevent them from posting). This option could be purchasable via TP but it would be nice if it did not take up a hook space and was in a standard area (say the deck) and could be a one time purchase. One could click on various messages to read them kind of like the message boards that were in the harbor some time ago about bounties. The guild leader or anyone he appoints could be incharge of deleting messages from the board. I think this small addition to the game could help guilds communicate more readily and thus lead to more scheduled raids/ quests, helping others, etc.

I hope others find this to be a useful and practical recommendation and if so please comment.

Thanks for the responses and I also agree some form of a calendar would be nice as well as a method for individuals who are in "sister guilds" to read info about planned raids . Possibly this could be done by invitation only or some other mechanism. Just trying to add another idea that I think would benefit the game and enhance playability.

I believe MadFloyd said that he wants something like this as well, so i suspect it is in the works (although I suppose that is no guarantee).

Thanks for posting this Lor, I think it would be an awesome addition! It gets tough relaying msgs / looking for/ giving away stuff that gets posted in the guild chat.

Was available in Ultima Online 10 years ago, so don't see any reason why it can't be done in DDO and quickly.
