    Default Raid loot change

make my raid loot invisible to the rest of the party members, so if i pass it to my friend who i've grouped with for a long time, I am not given grief for it by these random people whom happened to be in my group for this one completion.

Maybe we will see less weekend loot drama threads too.

maybe give me the option on the user interface, such as the determine loot by class option:

-make bound items visible only to guild members
-make bound items visible only to me

after all this weekend mess on my home server, just a thought.

Without drama threads, I won't have anything to do while I wait for the raid party to fill!

so you want turbine to add a feature that will allow you to do a raid with other people but then be able to do things you know they won't like without them being able to know you did it?

If you are doing to do something people don't like live with what comes of it.

I don't want them to know what i do with what loot comes under my name. it's not their business. nor' is it mine what they do with what treasures they win. While I can understand why people would disagree with this, I think the neg rep wasn't necessary.

Look, I understand that you are having issues (I don't actually know what your weekend drama is all about btw), but simply put, if everyone is gonna ***** becuase you took your loot that you earned just like everyone else, then maybe these people aren't good people to party with if that's their attitude about it.

Granted there are some cases which I don't understand: A good example of this is that my fiance is after Tharnes Bracers, she has the goggles. A cleric pulls the bracers and when she asked if they are going up for roll, he loots them. She asks why he looted them, to which his response was "I needed a +6 to dex item"... she made it clear to him that she would have given him a +6 to dex item in exchange for them, as she has a lot of dex items, but he looted for no reason. If it's something rediculous like that I could see someone get uppity, but if it's something you can use (or you've been looking for) then "Your loot is your loot"

I don't get this Need before Greed buisness becuase, well simply put, I put just as much time into a raid as everyone else, and yet when I get my loot, people expect me to give it up, shafting me with a useless run. Granted I will roll off some loot I am not hunting for, but I've had cases where people would be upset I looted something useful to me instead of putting it up for roll.

Look at the thelanis forums. look at cannith's forums. there are threads on virtually every server about this issue.

I didn't personally have that many issues (i had one bad in-game run-in) but it seems to me there are entire guilds that have decided because they believe that putting loot up for roll for everyone, that justifies an entitlement to a roll at loot anyone doesn't personally take from the chest, but falls under there name.

I'm not going to join every group an announce before we begin said raid/quest that if i pull loot and decide not to take it, I will let the entire party roll on it. maybe someone privately offers me money, maybe i have a friend who asks me they can have it privately in tells because we group together all the time, maybe my guildy who helped me flag for the raid is in the run and has done over 20 completions, whatever the reason..my decision to do with my lottery ticket. I'm not pleased with the idea of being forced to be charitable to the group just because they want to as well.

I see no reason why Turbine should cater to selfishness.

And please let me know what characters you play so I don't group with you.

    Default Are you Serious?

So let me get this straight.. you want to roll on their loot but you don't want them to roll on yours?
And you want turbine to help you hide this fact to make it easier for you to do your private sales/deals etc?
Hmmmm, why would this be a problem - Let me think lmao

Doesn't this work both ways? Just as you don't feel pleased of being "forced" to put up your loot for everyone to roll, so does other folks who don't feel pleased of your (in their perception) selfishness in handling your loot.

If you feel that badly, then you'll know who to avoid running with. Just like the other folks who like to put things up for roll for everyone and try to avoid those who don't.

It's your loot, do what you want with it.

I find that the majority of complaints about raid loot stem from dirty rolling tactics (e.g. people rolling who will then pass it to another who lost said roll).

...did you even read my post?

-I didnt say i want to roll on there loot, and i didn't say i didn't want them to roll on my loot. what i DID say was that i'd like the option to see my cards before letting the group see them and start to put there name on something the game mechanics entitled to me.

I could care less if people don't let me roll on there loot, I didn't pull it in the first place. Please read my original post more carefully before making that kind of response.

my characters are in my sig, i am on the thelanis server. if it's selfish that i got my raid loot and you got yours, but i dont want you to have mine for *whatever* reason that be whether i want to give it to a guildy or a friend, or take it for a TR, then im a selfish S.O.B.

but so are you for wanting what doesnt belong to you and justifying why it's wrong that its not handed to you.

"proxy" rolling is an entirely different issue, I believe virtually everyone would blacklist both people involved in this kind of rolling tactic. what I am seeing is more and more complaints geared towards people instead of pulling loot themselves or putting it up for public roll for the entire party, they pass it to a friend or guildy, or there guildies are the only ones allowed to roll on it.

I've seen people curse out other players on the in-game voice system for taking there own loot. i've seen players verbally abuse guilds before dropping group due to someone passing an item to there guildy. i've had players verbally abuse me for taking an item for my toon that i was actually looking for in the first place, and intended to use.

I voice this idea because there are guilds out there with absolutely wonderful players that i wouldn't hesitate to play with, yet turn into crazy fierce monsters when the raid chest is opened. If i can continue to quest and have fun with them, at the expense of never seeing what loot they get, it doesn't hurt me and it doesn't hurt them. that's why my idea was an option to turn it off, and not to just turn it off.

I havent even reached Raid level via good enough items and or knowledge to even try. What i have noticed on here in the forums is that most people read the post like totally in a way they think it should be written and then they make bad comments about it. Half time or more its not even on the subject you brought to light. I hate em all that flame players that dont like something in the game. They act like there so perfect and they just love the game. !!!!! kids.

As long as you don't roll on other people's loot, you might have a leg to stand on - But I find that hard to believe given that you appear to be a very selfish and conniving individual. I think any opporunity to grab free loot and sell your own is exactly what you would do and you want turbine to hide it. Make your deals and take the heat like a man.

If you give YOUR loot that drops under YOUR NAME to a guildy without letting anyone roll its your business. I wouldn't complain.

I guess i wouldn't do it without announcing it at the start "Oy, if i pull XX it will go to YY, i owe him some from other raids". But thats just me.

Your loot, your decision to put it up for roll, give it to random people, or loot it.

Just had a barb in a reavers announce "i will roll on them" 3 seconds before i looted my first madstone boots on my rogue.

Guess i should stop staring at raid loot in my chest for 2 minutes if i plan to loot it

why the personal attack from a suggestion to the game mechanics to help relieve tension and peer pressure of 'having' to put your loot up for roll? I can assure you, about 95% of the loot I pull goes up for roll. being in a 2-man guild myself, I almost exclusively lead or pug every single raid. I plan out my toons and have specific loot goals. i don't take what i need, and there are *few* people that i will just pass loot to in any case over a party roll.

i've never auctioned loot and 99% of the time refuse to sell loot that i pull. but when it gets to the point when people question you taking your own loot, let alone passing it to friends or guildies, its getting out of hand.

if you want to discuss loot etiquette, do it on the other thread. this one is about the suggestion of a game mechanic to hide bound loot in the chest to keep people from getting bent out of shape.

Are you aware that calling somone a "selfish S.O.B." appears to be an insult? Are you aware that joining a PUG with the intent to secretly break their loot rules appears underhanded?

It's cool if you to pass an item to a friend but TELL THE PUG AT THE BEGINNING OF THE RAID or they'll say (correctly) that you acted like a sneak.

By the way, congrats to you and your friend on your awsome loot run.

P.s. Personaly, I find that if I'm upfront about unusual loot plans, people are happy for me if I get the pull.

    Default Come on :)

You refer to your loot as "cards" to be played and you said you wanted to be able to sell your loot. You also ask Turbine to hide information from party members to avoid scrutiny.... etc

You would make an excellent rogue ... are you role-playing one now?

...so your saying i have to announce that i have this and this friend in this run, and might possibly pass my loot to them. or im looking for this and this item, so if i pull it im taking it.

going through that is really necessary to avoiding acting like a 'sneak'?

I never said anywhere that i wanted to be able to sell my loot. as a matter of fact, I said that I virtually never sell my loot.

I dont have any rogues. i hate playing em personally. but you seem to be really good at trolling.

    are you roleplaying a troll?

The only thing that is necessary is to accept you can do what you want with your loot but if you do things that make people mad that you also must deal with the result that they are mad.
