Default Hey all, Error popups at launch

When I attempt to boot up the game a "engine error" screen pops up,

The error screen states: "Fatal Execution Engine Error (0x7927e0af),

Prompts you to click "Ok". When you do, this pops up,

Turbinelauncher.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
    Process id=0x14e0 (5344), Thread id=0xef0 (3824)
Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application.

The error screens cease when you press OK, and keep reappearing with the same messages once you press CANCEL.

I've tried reinstalling the game multiple times, turning off the firewall, and all sorts of things. If anybody has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Computer is a Windows XP home. System req's are fine. Internet connection is also fine, and I've turned off the firewall to see if that would work and it hasn't. If any other information needs to be known let me know.

    Bump.

It seems a lot of people are having difficulty with this game. Is it just because of a recent patch? I haven't played the game yet, though it looks interesting and I hope this issue doesn't interfere.

This one is usually due to a corruption or mismatch in the Microsoft .Net 1.1 and 1.1 "service pack" files.

Check your "Uninstall a Program" (Vista/Win7) or "Add or Remove Programs" control panel section for "Microsoft .Net Framework" and "Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 Hotfix KB####"

You might only see one but either way uninstall them and redownload and reinstall them via the downloads here:

Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 & The 1.1 Service Pack (Hotfix)

Also there's a post on the Lotro forums here that can guide through alot of the issues you might run into installing those. Definitely open a tech support request if it still comes up after that.
