Issues with cleric's soundburst

As in, actually works perhaps once out of every ten casts. When I mean works, I mean that you actually see the effect and the saves or no saves from the spell. Most of the time there is no visual effect and no save icon over the mob's head to tell me why it is still coming after me when I cast that spell. No sound effect either. Known bug?

Soundburst now requires are hard target on a mob through the entire casting, just like Mass Hold. It's pretty lame.

Yep. It was previously able to be targeted at any piece of ground under your reticle, but it was changed to require an actual target - and it needs to hold that target for the entire cast. If the melee drops the target midcast, it will fail (but still take your SP of course). WAI or bugged has not been disclosed, nor will it I suppose, but it smells like cockroaches to me.

Thanks. I'd stopped using it because I thought it was bugged. Will try with hard targetting.

This used to be my favorite tactic on my dwarven battle cleric, I even had it keyed to my mouse. Trigger a sound burst as I charge into a group and start swinging away. Worked great, now it's not worth the hassle.
