Ranged Question

Why is it a ranged requirement to take close range attack +1 attack under 30 ft if we are not supposed to use ranged weapons at close range. But whats the point if using ranged weapon at close range does way less damage then pulling out a sword.

I am not sure why I was required to take that feat but I think it was AA possibly.

I.. think you're talking about Point Blank Shot? It would help if you listed the correct feat, as "close range attack" is not a feat.

It is required for Arcane Archer, yes. This page lists the Enhancements, but also lists the Prerequisites.

Arcane archer tactics tend to revolve around their Manyshot timer. Use ranged while Manyshot-ing. Then, close to melee mobs when the timer's off.

You should always be close to your party - 30 ft. should not be a concern to you. Being close to your enemies means you're also close to the allies that can heal you, or help you kill those enemies.

If you can't hit what's right in front of you, how are you going to hit the stuff that's far away?

Aye that is it point blank shot. Yeah not sure why they make us take that when if enemy is close we might as well put out swords.
