I hereby invite ALL MEMBERS of Sarlona to Ghallanda for our DDO Veterans Day Ceremony this Thursday!! (All you need to do is roll a fresh toon on Ghallanda, or use one you already have there... contact me for further instruction if necessary)

The Veterans Day DDO Ceremony is held each year on November 11th on Ghallanda. The ceremony commences precisely at (THIS COMING THURSDAY!) 3 PM EST and again at 10:00 PM EST with a short poetry recital at the fountains in House J, and continues with a "Parade of Colors," then back to the fountains again for our unique version of the "21 Gun Salute", honoring veterans and veteran organizations, and those we've lost throughout the World.

Feel free to wear your most COLORFUL outfits!!! The ceremony is intended to honor and thank all who served in the United States Armed Forces, and from other peace-seeking nations throughout the World.

Our guild's last Memorial Day "21 Gun Salute" was made public, and we were humbled by the response. This year, we are making our Veteran's Day ceremony public, and seek the support of anyone who has a desire to show their support of the troops from all around Ghallanda.

Needless to say, all are welcome. This goes above & beyond all of our silly in-game class distinctions of "rich" to "poor", "gimp" to "elite", or level 1 guild to level 70 guild. However it seems to have EVERYTHING to do with DDO, considering so many of the fine folk who have served this great land are spread throughout the game, at every play level.

Finally: This year the video stream of our entire event will be sent to my long time buddy Jim Leary and his unit in Kabul, Afghanistan, who will in turn ensure it gets passed around to his many, many brothers and sisters serving in harms way.

I have a need for several roles.

1. I need two volunteers with the ability to stream in high res besides myself.

2. I'm also going to need one individual from each server, besides Ghallanda to inform them of this effort. I was surprised last year of several disappointed responses we got from other servers, they would have rolled a toon on G-Land just to show support. We want to ensure that doesn't happen again.

3. Call to all Guild leaders to spread the word. I know just a small percentage of the DDO world actually uses the forums. If you know of anyone in your guild who might be interested in such an event, I'd be grateful if you somehow let them know.

4. I need 7 fine archers, preferably arcane archers, to participate in the 21 Gun Salute.
