installed it, didnt get a desktop link, have to re-install it in order to play

when I downloaded this game, I didnt get a desktop link that takes me directly to the game. in order for me to play, I have to go to the folder, click to install, wait for 5 minutes to install, then wait to load the game. is there any way to fix this? I already uninstalled and reinstalled the game. i dont know what to do.

Try opening the Turbine folder and copy the ddolauncher file and then drag it to your desktop.

OK, uninstalled, re-installed, disabled DX10, enabled DX9, uninstalled, re-installed, ect, ect, ect.......***!!!!!!!!
Black screen when I log in except for my chr names and the options menu on the left, and when I try to just select one and go I get the "loading" screen for infinity....... ***!!!!!!!!
Trying to get a rebate for this month as this **** has been happening non stop since the update.
Any advice on how to play the game I have spent soooooooo much F'ing money on.
If I sound a little ****ed, sorry, I mean to sound A LOT ****ed.
Cant get a response from tech that is anything different from what I have already don.

Thing is the OS puts your game link not on the desktop but in the "game" folder if you look at your "programs" listing.

Open up your DDO folder and right click on DDOLauncher, select pin to start up. From there you can leave it in your start up menu or create a desk top icon
