    Default Gameing Headset

I am running Win7 and my headset is Plantronics Audio 995 Digital. I am having troubles with game chat. I am able to chat when I use the "push to chat" option. When I try to use the hands free I can no longer talk. I still hear all game sounds but loose the ability to talk while in party. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

You might try adjusting the voice capture threshold setting in DDO.

It's set at 100%. I also made sure the capture and playback settings were set on my headset and not the other generec settings.

Make sure you select "USB Audio Device" in both the Windows "Recording" tab & in the DDO Audio devices. The default is the Line-In from on-board audio which in your case are not used.

Actually, I think you would want the capture threshold to be set low- definitely not at 100%. This is setting the noise level required to trigger DDO to transmit.

Try setting it to zero first. If it still doesn't work, then threshold isn't your problem.

    Just use PTT.

Nothing is more annoying that listening to some kid eat chips and wheeze all the time.
