    As a Medicare patient, 'taking your money elsewhere' isn't going to be a credible threat. I'd recommend you emphasize the unprofessionalism and lack of respect when making your complaint.

    They do.

    Going ahead with a complaint to her employer will probably be a good thing in the long run, then. Either she'll realize she needs to work on her manner, and will get help to do it, or she'll be fired. Hopefully this will make her a better nurse in the end.


    On another related note, several people have talked about the "drug-seeking patient" angle. Not only do doctors have to worry about patients lying to them, they have to worry about the DEA arresting them for prescribing legitimate medications.
