[help] non-transparent chatbox?

I'm making a skin to improve readability. I've changed my chatbox background by editing "box_hud_darkgrey_center.tga" but the chatbox remains transparent.

Is it possible to make the chatbox opaque or is it hard coded to be forever partialy transparent?

I believe the file you need to edit is:

"box_ebdark_center.tga"

You should be able to make the chat-box solid, I know I have in the past for various skins.
