...My question is this, if the Ravager is better than FB, (from purely a dps standpoint) wouldnt Slicing > Stunning for those that want to max dps on mobs that matter?

I tried slicing for a bit while waiting for Eberron Unlimited and the problem is it doesn't bypass DR... so it's useless against monsters with DR.

Isnt slicing something like 1d4 every 2 seconds? Even if it's twice that, stunning blow would be a better option IMO. Sure you can't use it on bosses, but it makes trash fights so much easier, and slicing blow would only add something like 1/10th of a pt of damage per swing.

Technically yes, Slicing Blow will be more damaging against creatures that are immune to stun but not immune to ticks of 1d4 physical damage. Originally Posted by Tat2Freak
But even though Slicing Blow provides a DPS increase that's higher than zero, it still wouldn't be enough to bother clicking on even if everyone got the feat for free. Take Weapon Focus if you want something that can potentially improve your boss-killing power. (I have many times suggested Slicing Blow be buffed into a reasonable feat choice, such as here).

Stunning Blow is essentially a free kill in epic. The faster you kill the trash, the faster the quest completion is.
There is no better feat to have as a melee in epic.Revenants
