When did your toons get here?

Yep tuesday 7-10gmt was when I used the transfer tool. The account was created on March, 2006. Nothing arrived yet. So I fit in both theories.

I did the transfer Tuesday evening as well, still nothing on either account and both accounts had their points immediately.

My account here was created sept 06 and my account in the eu was created april 06 so i think your theroy is kerput and i submited for tmy toons just after the toon opened tuesday got my toons after 6 hours

As someone else said, this is the time range of doom : 7-10gmt.

I personally did on that range, as others here. And, as I said, it is NOT a problem of worktime, as yesterday a guildie got their toons instantly.

Me and my wife, wednesday morning just before 5am GMT and another person thursday morning. All of us still waiting.

Well maybe u dont have any unique items or not many characters.....everyone I know who has an old account hasnt got their characters yet....although am suspicious about the fact we all did it tuesday evening and nothing. As i said b4 i have only ever had one account at both codemasters and Turbine so they can only go to one place!

Tolero - assuming u read this and yes i know its not yet 7 days but on what basis are the characters being transferred or is it totally random?

I read someone's theory that those with older accounts would get their toons last. It kind of makes sense i.e. that there would be more data to get through and possible conflicts ie items that existed in Europe but dont exist in the US. I completed the transfer tuesday about 6pm ish and dont have my characters (only ever had one account on codemasters and one account here) nor does anyone I know. We have all played since beta so for us that theory makes sense.

I think we need to put things in perspective there are probably a million transfers happening if you combine all of Europe. If after 7 days I or you dont have (y)our transfers then is the time to moan. I think it would maybe help if Turbine could say what criteria there is for the transfers so it saves people constantly checking their email but yes I would like my characters as I would like to see what they have and sort them out but it did say 1 to 7 business days so I will just wait....

It probably has nothing to do with tuesday.
One friend of mine did his transfer on tuesdays and he got his char on wednesday.
Another did it on wednesday and is still waiting for it.

My guess is that we see a high number of players from tuesday here because that's the first day it worked, where probably the biggest number of players did it and therefore statistically most players with problems will also have transfered on tuesday - even given an equal chance for everybody.

It's obvious that this is not a FIFO Queue (First In First Out).

I wonder if the char transfer process is fully automated.

I can debunk the "older accounts" theory as a guild comrade of mine who played since beta has his chars already, while mine (started 2007) aren't here yet.

I find it MOST interesting that almost all people who are still waiting for their transfers made their transfer request on Tuesday around 7-10pm GMT or something like that.

Maybe something silently broke around that time and noone at Turbine noticed?

if there are no toons on next tuesday, something is wrong or Turbine didnt count weekend days in those 1-7 days..

I don't know how the days are counted where you live but where I live at least they don't count weekend days as business days. So yes, thursday is 7 days for "tuesday people".

It's 1-7 business days. Assuming weekends are not counted (I think after bank status only Monday-Friday are business days) you will have to be patient at least until Thursday....

Edit: Oh and btw, still no chars here. Transfer done on Tuesday 7.30pm....

Granted, but there's the term "business days" which doesn't involve weekends. Hell even the shop that's open every day near here has the term "business days" for something, can't remember what, if it's their email service or whatever it was...

I've been called in to work plenty of time during the weekend for one or the other reason.
