Ive read through the forums, and have tried everything within my technical capacity to remedy the situation.
Problem:
My connection is perfectly fine (even taking lag into consideration) all through the first couple loading screens. I can get past Character Selection with no problem (9 times out of 10); but once I try to go into any other area from where my character is, it lags so badly on the loading screen that I get booted.
Attempted Solutions:
-Rebooting the router (and wireless router, just in case).
-Rebooting the computer.
-Uninstalling and then Reinstalling DDO (Not a pleasant 3 hours).
-Using different characters on my account to see if it was potentially one specific character.
-Adjusting the options in-game to assure the lowest quality graphics, etc. are selected to minimize potential lag.
This issue didn't arise until today. My on-board sound card stopped working after I upgraded to Win7 (64-bit), so I got a new sound card, and installed it, today; including applying proper drivers. Once I started up on the game, it lagged pretty intensely, but eventually made it to Character Selection, etc etc.
After re-installation, there was much less lag on the initial loading screens, all the way past Character Selection. I then ran around for 10 minutes, and made sure it wasn't going to drop while running around the Market (much more lag than normal though). I then went through a gate to another part of the Market, and the loading screen sat for about 5 minutes (more or less) and then timed out after absolutely no progress on the loading bar.
I understand that it could potentially be due to weather conditions, etc.
I have a cable (not satellite) connection, and the weather is completely clear.
I'm not sure of all the specs for my computer, but I could find out if need be.
Just let me know what other information is needed for diagnosis, and I'll provide it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated... I need to get back to that Chronoscope Raid.
