Actually, I posted a thread in this forum about this very thing a while back. Only a few responses, but they were all in favor of it. It seems like this would only make money for Turbine, too.

It's already in game. It's called true reincarnation (TR). You can even already buy the true hearts of wood from the store.

TR doesn't count. I'm one of many people that just doesn't enjoy the lower levels much at all any more. Most of 1-14 feels like a chore to me rather than a game, regardless of the quests I run.

It would need to be part of at least a lesser reincarnation, however - changing race requires skill points and stat points to be reassigned (for instance, a 14 Str Human that changed into a Halfling would no longer qualify for Power Attack and would lose one skill point per level, and so they'd need be doing an LR to deal with this).

Another bad idea make them work for it otherwise everyone will just be LR'ing and Race-changing 24/7 to be on top of things instead of making the next-best-thing and the game will suck and I'll an hero and y'all will have nothing.
