Log in issues

I've been having similar problems as other people with launching the game. I get to the world select screen, all the worlds come up in green, but when I select one and hit play, I get the message "DDO is already running", but there is no window open anywhere to indicate that. I close out all DDO related programs, try again, and get the same message. Even when I close out everything, restart my computer, and try to log in again, I still get the same "DDO is already running" message. Opening the task manager doesn't help either, since it doesn't show any DDO programs as running...not sure what to do? I just uninstalled everything, reinstalled the game, and as soon as I log in for the first time, I get back to the world select menu, push play.....and get "DDO is already running" again.

Edit: Just wanted to add that running the launcher in compact mode (click the double downward arrows in upper right of the launcher) fixes this issue for me.
