When to change up from Blademark's Docent

My Wiz8/Rog2 is currently using the Blademark's Docent (the DR 5/Magic has been great and the occasional +15 temporary hp is nice too). When does DR 5/Magic stop being relevant? (either due to the amounts of damage incoming being in packets so large that 5hp doesn't make that much of a difference, or the enemies all being able to break the DR)

I could pick up an Elfcrafted Docent easily enough (I suspect that a Docent of Defiance is beyond my means for now) - are there any other Docents I should be keeping an eye out for?

On my TR WF wizard, I wore the Blademark's Docent all the way to 16 when I swapped to a dragontouched docent. The DR/magic stops being useful around where you are (level tennish), but I loved the lifeshield. Then again, I had a torc and conc opp accessory, so blur was effectively a debuff...

Elfcrafted is a good replacement for a caster.

As for the blademark... I was still using it at level 20 at times. It's simply fantastic if you don't have the perfect dragontouched or a couple other rare items. The DR is still good against a surprising # of things. Lifeshield never gets useless, and is super awesome when combined with DR that works & other things like a torc, concopp, shield blocking...

Its been a while, but I seem to recall the Docent of Defense from Invaders being "fairly" decent when it dropped.

You can basically find decent docents in the AH until you get someplace in the game/level where you will need to grind for one.

Invaders can be very quick runs to get the 20-25 tokens you need. GH relic/scale collection can get you a docent.

SoS, Quori, etc can also give you good Docents, depending on what you want.

As I TR'd my wizard, I was surprised that the first mob I noticed bypassing the DR were the archers going down into OOB. I still used it for the lifeshield though (and loaded stoneskin). I now have access to my DT and still use it sometimes (my DT is mainly geared towards DPS guards which isn't the most useful against trash)
