Default Icon for people that are ignoring you or you ignoring them

Just did a Reaver's Fate run with a group and when it came time to do the puzzle, I said I was gonna do it to the group but when I went to try to do it the person that's ignoring me does it before I can even touch it. I SAID I was going to do it but... x.x I don't even know what I did to anger that person x.x Also, how was I supposed to know that someone else was going to do it when I said I was going to do it.

The person did successfully complete the puzzle though but I just don't know x.x

    Suggestions? Ideas?

Were you the Party leader? if not, you probably didnt have the right to just claim you were gonna do the puzzle.

If you were, add the person that did the puzzle to your ignore list and move on.

You wont ever get any indication in game because that would make it to easy to identify people you need to grief. Oh, THAT guy put me on Ignore? I'll show him! and you get to go roll a new character and go track him down....

Its better to just leave it be.

I understand that I guess... I just don't like putting people on ignore...

And yes, I was the party leader =|

The only reason I knew he put me on ignore is when I tried to mail him...

I do think there should be some way of knowing who's ignoring you. I mean, if you're a cleric and the tank squelches you, it's unfair to the other players when the tank's unheard cries for help or your unheard cries for help end up losing them the dungeon or raid.

EXACTLY or when I was going to touch the puzzle but didn't notice that he was doing it.

SO, a guy that has squelched you, joined your group, and proceeded to do the puzzle without checking whether someone else was doing it, and you're not squelching him yourself immediately? Why?

I can certainly be accused of wanting to do the puzzle....but generally I just want to show newer groups that they don't need to do the solver. Solver is so lame for that puzzle :/

I disagree with the ability to see who has squelched you though. Would lead to much griefing.

Oh and in closing: Blue/Blue/Blue/Blank method of reaver puzzle solving gives far more info than is needed to make the puzzle childs play.

This isn't a PvP game though, how much can you honestly grief somebody? Sure you can follow them around and annoy them, a short trip to the teleporter at any of the main houses or a switch to a different instance fixes that. If it was something simple like a skull next to their name or a mark on their health bar in the party, you wouldn't even notice unless you were really really trying to grief them (and frankly if you're enough of a jerk to do that, you deserve the ban that follows anyway).

I can't agree with an icon to show you someone is ignoring you.

However, I think if someone ignores me, the game should treat them as if I was ignoring them as well until they take me off their ignore list. I would see them as offline, they would be auto-refused mail, and auto-declined if they hit my LFMs exactly as if I had squelched them. Their party chat would also not show up on my windows.

Maybe have this as a checkmark "ignore people who are ignoring you" or some such.

This is acceptable... but we need more support for this.

I think this is a good idea.
Your complaint has been lodged, duly noted, and swiftly rejected.
