    Default waves of exhaustion

I keep hearing that it works against the tod, demon queen, shroud bosses but I thought it was nerfed so that it no longer slows them down..

what gives why this still popular?

It still slowed against Arritrekos last I knew. It wasn't supposed to but it still did after the update.

Haven't Shrouded after the patch. May have been fixed since then.

It is still a debuff to STR and DEX. Any debuf against a boss is good.
Disappointed and without trust in the powers that be.

If they nerfed it, I couldn't tell and I have run several Shrouds since the update.

debuff bosses....do it all the time...
just select them and then examine them to see if it is affecting them or you failed your SR or DC.

add curse, waves, prayer debuff and the boss is hurting good.

Still useful to use with or without the nerf. It makes high AC characters harder to hit (although not so relevant on epic) and reduces damage output per hit by the bad guys (mostly useful in DQ where the damage comes from a lot of hits rather than a smaller number of big hits).

The history on this is a bit funky as to why those particular creatures can still be afflicted by an exhaustion slowdown:

    • When DDO was first around blanket immunities based on boss status were not what they were now.
    • Boss immunities were added, but among the side effects is that they were immune to or heavily suppressed many forms of bonuses to movement speed/attack speed. This was true for DDO for about 3 years.
    • In an effort to make the Against the Demon Queen Raid more brutal for the upcoming Epic Difficulty the Marilith monster model was granted an override to the boss immunities that suppressed time effects. It is unknown if Lailat was supposed to move at high speeds during the final phase when she was initially made, but this change allowed it to function. This let her move at fast speeds during her final phases, but also allowed herself to become a raid boss that could be affected by Exhaustion's slow.
    • For whatever reason, the Pit Fiend monster model also had this override added in update 5 (as there are a few Pit Fiend Raid bosses).
    • Update 7 granted red-named and raid status monsters immunity to the slowing effect of Exhaustion (and a few other slowing effects). But because the Marilith and Pit Fiend monster models still have the override in effect so their bonuses to movement/attack speed function, they still have the unintended override to Update 7's immunity to slowing effects. Due to this, some slowing effects still function on them.
