Problem with Epic Robe of Shadow ?

I wear a Stormreaver's Napkin which will give me +1 to my necro DC.

I got this Epic Robe of Shadow item from the Halloween event that gives me Greater Necromancy Focus (+2 to DC for necro spells). I also have a Dragontouched robe that has no such necro focus. When I wear the DT robe, the tooltip for the Save DC for Finger of Death and Wail of the Banshee says 36 (correct), but when I swap to the Robe of Shadow, the tooltip says the Save DC for those spells is 35 ?!! It should be 37.

What gives ? Is the Epic Robe of Shadow item bugged ? Anyone else notice this ?

Items that alter DCs are buggy, try removing it and putting it back on a few times till you get the correct numbers.

Mine is adding DCs correctly.

Boon is working fine for me but I did notice its not working when being attacked by some of the undead in Deleras.

Nope. I was solo in Eye of the Titan and healing with Death Aura and Neg Burst

Items stack with feats or enhancements. That much I know.

Does Staff of petitioner form Abbott GNF+2 stack with the robe though?

One is GNF on armor and the other is GNF on weapon.

It appears that I just wasn't noticing the healing I was getting from the robe. It is, in fact, working.

As far as I know, the GNF on that staff will not stack with the GNF on the Epic Shadow Robe.

Spoke to someone in the game who also had the Epic shadow Robe and they said they got the same tooltip DC bug (FoD, Wail) as well, when they swapped from some other robe to the Epic Robe of Shadow. That's kinda comforting I guess, lol.

Having the same bug with the Epic Robe of Shadow. I have the Stormreaver Napkin equipped, and with a 44int I saw a FoD & Wail DC of 41. When I equipped the Epic Robe Of Shadow, instead of seeing a DC increase from 41 to 42, I instead saw a decrease from 41 to 40; unequipping/reequipping the Robe several times and restarting the client did not fix this. I cannot tell if this is only a visual(tooltip) bug or a real bug in the DC calculation.

This is not good, has anyone else had the same problem and come to some kind of resolution of it?

I bug reported this, and I am sure others are having the same problem.

I noticed the same thing.

If you wear it BEFORE you zone, it will read correctly when you swap back and forth. If you equip it AFTER you have zoned, it will give you buggy numbers.

My cloak of night and robe of shadow both stopped proccing, i had to relog for them to function again. they are pretty buggy.

Yup, I just verified that this is what's happening also, the numbers are buggy if I swap the Robe on after logged in, but are correct if I already have the Robe on when logged in. At least I now know the workaround for this bug till (if) its fixed.

Now if you were to also use your Staff of the Petitioner, (Greater Enchantment Focus and Greater Necromancy Focus) your DC will be one higher than before. This is because the two items don't stack. Your staff is over riding the Napkin for Necromancy and Enchantment spells.

Same if you use the new Epic Robe of Shadow and a Napkin. They don't stack.

What was the other robe you had on prior to this new one being made? Did it have some sort of Spell Focus or did it give you an intelligence bracket?

No. The problem for me is what I described above. I get the correct numbers with the Robe already on prior to log-in, I get bugged numbers when the Robe is NOT already on upon log-in and I equip it after log-in.

Hmm, I don't get this happening with the Epic Shadow Robe.

If I wear the Shadow Robe BEFORE either zoning or logging into the game (I'm treating zoning and logging in as 2 different cases), then I get the correct numbers once I zone in or logon. Unfortunately, once I start swapping between different robes, the DC numbers on FoD and Wail get messed up again in the tooltips and they don't get updated correctly.

What I have noticed though, is that if I do some other action (just swapping robes does not correct the numbers) after I have the bugged numbers (e.g. left clicking the mouse to attack with the held weapons/items), then the DC numbers get updated correctly.

As a side note, I also see different bizarre numbers for the FoD DC (and also Wail DC) if I swap between a Dragontouched Robe that won't affect the necro DC and the Regalia of the Phoenix, when in fact those 2 robes should give the same DCs for necro spells.

Seeing these bugged DC numbers doesn't exactly inspire confidence that the underlying mechanics are working correcly ...
