Eardweller Damage Calculation???

How is non-crit damage calculated when taking the eardweller into account? I looked at some articles which must be based off the old eardweller ....

...where it basically acts as a 100% potency item, but I've noticed the description on mine says it now stacks with potency items...

So is this right for the calulation? I did some testing last night and it seemed to do more damage than it should've if it was treated just as a 100% potency item.

base * (1max + .5emp + 1) * (.5potency + .4enhancement + 1eardweller + 1)

That's a display glitch.
It was originally intended to work that way, but it turned out they couldn't do it (or decided against it).
It came up once previously, looks like it reverted again.

Nothing has changed in it's usage.

Well, unless your calcs say more. But I wouldn't trust them yet.

After my many months of running through EotT a couple times a day, I finally pulled one today. I just tested it and it certainly appears to be stacking with Potency. I tested with Death Aura in Lich form. The heals were about 10 points higher with Spell Frenzy + Potency vs Potency alone.

I don't know if it's intentional, but I like it.

My death aura ticks for 25-30 or so. If eardweller stacked with potency, it would straight up double the damage you saw. Since you're only getting a 10 point increase, I would say that the 100% bonus is not stacking with potency, but merely supplanting it. Instead of getting a 50% damage boost from your superior potency item, you're now getting a 100% boost from the eardweller buff.

If it makes you feel any better, in yesterday's thread about AM vs PM, I couldn't figure out where the extra 10 DC I was getting on my spells was coming from. It was the base 10 from the formula. Everyone comes down with a bad case of the Dumb every now and then. =)

nope, lvl 19 polar ray doing about 550 normally .... its doesn't stack.
