Default Crossfire isn't working with DDO

Any other game I play uses both GPU's but DDO doesn't. I keep hoping that as DDO and ATI keeps updating that someday crossfire will work but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Anyone know of a fix?

    I have:

    2 ATI 5850 GPU's
    Win 7 64 bit
    6112x1200 resolution with eyefinity
    6 GB mem
    i7 930 CPU

I use MSI Afterburner to monitor the GPU's performance.

I also wish there was an answer for this. My crossfire will work for 5-20 mins then the whole system locks up. When I disable it no problems.

This is a brand new professionally certifed custom Rig which has Zero issues with crossfire using any other software except DDO! What gives guys?

I mean seriously look at these Heaven 2.1 DX11 benchies

    FPS: 61.8
    Scores: 1556
    Min fps: 33.7
    Max fps:162.4

There is certainly Nothing wrong with my side! lol

    Operating system: Windows 7 (build 7600) 64bit
    CPU model: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 960 @ 3.20GHz
    CPU flags: 3804MHz MMX SSE SSE2 SSE3 SSSE3 SSE41 SSE42 HTT
GPU model: ATI Radeon HD 5870 Series 8.791.0.0 CrossFireX 2048Mb

If your entire PC locks up it is more than likely driver related and needs to be raised on AMD forums or with their support team with full details of your setup.

Version 8.801 of Catalyst has the following fixes:

    • Crossfire no longer gets randomly disabled in some games after task switching.
    • Random crashes are no longer observed when playing the Stone Giant DX11 Demo when Crossfire enabled
I'm not claiming this will fix your issues, just that crossfire receieved some attention in this latest update.

Additionally (and conversely), a LOTRO user posted that a previous driver version (10.9) was recommended to fix crossfire issues (I've no idea if DDO has a profile but might be worth looking at the CAP settings for Lotro to compare, if possible)

You might want to check your motherboard's support page for any BIOS updates and look into the BIOS configuration for GPUs:

Just to note; recently someone noted that crossfire does not provide performance improvement for them with their setup:

    side note about ATI ...

Try the disk that came with the cards.

I have a ATI card that freaks out (read: locks up) with the updated drivers, but with the ones from the disk that came with it its a happy camper.

The problem with haveing a specificaly wierd card and generic drivers.
