I would consider to put skill points in Listen to detect the Foes earlier.

I prefer Thoughness over Stunning Blow for this build, 82 HP matter! You could take Orcish Power Rage II for maximum DPS, and drop Extended Rage IV. many threads say that 20 Barbarian has enough Rages.

It's a classical Barbarian build. For gear read the threads in this forum, like this one: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=281363.
I may be mistaken but isn't extend IV a requirement for FBIII? Scratch that I looked it up and it isn't. You're totally correct, I could easily drop Extend IV as I've only run out of rage maybe 1 time with no shrine around (besides during the mabar event)

I'm REALLY liking the toughness right now (just exchanged stunning for toughness on this current build) because the extra 100 HP makes a huge difference. I rarely if ever dip below a point where a single massive shot could kill me off unless I'm being a terd and zerging away from the group.

    Thanks for the advice.

What do you think of dropping GTHF for toughness? You could use the extra hp while you grind for all the CON gear you need. Then use the free feat swap from the marketplace quest to switch to GTHF when you have your gear.

I suppose I could do that. I think I'm going to grind the gear before I TR and I'm pretty happy with my current build.

I swapped Stunning for Toughness on the current incarnation but I may swap back. The only issue is that without a stunning weapon I'm not landing many stuns even with my huge str bonus and swapping out is a pain in the buttocks + I lose a TON of DPS going with a holy stunner vs. my lit II axe.

One final comment, I went with spot even though it's cross class because I can see pretty much everything in game with just 5 points into it. Since I don't do ranged I don't really need to see it from too far away usually. I just wade in and start swinging. Hasn't failed me (too often :0) yet.

Yes you can see the non stealthy Foes at short distance.
I prefer Listen for being class skill. With Listen maxed you can notice red circles at the feet of stealthy Foes at long distance and gives you information about the type and CR of the Foe.
Only very silent Foes will be able to surprise you.

    This.

I have never had GTHF on my WF barbarian, and was hate tanking in VoD from level 17. Only ever lost agro to a WF Pally with Epic SoS in VoD, and in ToD if I am lazy with keeping up the frenzies.

I do twitch as much as possible, so I probably do not notice the loss in a few glancing blows, and glancing blows for 50-55 with Epic SoS is still pretty nice

Running hard epic quests like OOB or Devil Assault/Chronoscope, you really notice the difference between a party that has a few DPS that can stun well, Vs a party that has no one that can stun at all. Keep stunning blow, keep toughness, and start twitching

Until they remove lag out of raids twitching isn't going to help. What you can get on a spreadsheet with twitching is different to in game.

    stoolcannon,

On the choker. If you were doing testing of the choker in VOD, it's a bad place to look for results.
A possible reason you may have missed (if you did) exhaustion is because many times in VOD you have so many buffs that you can't see it. I don't see haste or curses a lot when tanking.

Try it in ToD Part 3, I did several times and noticed that I did get exhausted more than I wanted.
And it only takes once to decrease you DPS, 50% reduction in attack speed is huge.

Second point on the Choker, if you are building your toon to rely or need to choker to reach a certain HP level for main tank, your toon is built wrong.

Extended Rage is not a requirement for FBIII. Take levels in Extra and Extend until you reach higher levels then respec those AP into other things. On a capped Barb with ToD set, you won't need more than 1 level of extend or extra rage.

Toughness for stunning blow sounds like a solid choice.

Good advice. I almost NEVER use the choker. I just tossed in on in VoD to see how it would work.

I think it;s kind of a POS in general.
