Default Essence of the Helm of Frost

I was looking in the compendium to see if the epic versions of the named loot from new raid was listed and came across this. There is also one for the Scorched bracers.

Essence of the Helm of Frost
    Binds on Acquire
This is the concentrated essence of an exclusive epic item. It can be restored to its pristine form by placing it alone in an Altar of Epic Rituals and activating the device. You must not have a copy of the item this creates in your inventory when performing this ritual, or it will fail and this essence will be destroyed.

The robe and the armor are new since lammania. The robe will be sought after by every wizard in ddo and the armor is very intriguing 30 temporary procing hp and 2d6 con damage for failed will save roughly translates to 0.35 con damage to every mob that hits you if they can only fail the will save on a 1.

Since any member can 'edit' the ddo compendium and it's based more on trust, I stay away from it. I've seen so many made up wrong fantasy items in there.

Here is the list of all named items ingame. In the first 5 or so posts and what quest they are in is the compiled version. But also in the last pages before the first pages are edited are the 'newer' found items. If anything you should use that thread instead.

hmm interesting.. They do let the cat out of the bag by accident on occasion - this happened prior to epic dragon being released that is when everybody found out about the Epic SOS and other dragon items. The +3 con dc sounds fishy for the robe for sure.

Oh for sure. I just think that some people post items there from Lamania server that are going to change, or edit and add stuff to items. U just can't be for sure until it actually comes to the live server if the changes are going to be the same. That's why that linked thread is so great. People post proof in screenshots of the items so nothing can be made up.

Fairly certain it's legitimate. Take a look at the history of edits on the Epic infested Armor. Admin, only once. And it was an automated modification.

In fact, User "Admin" is a filler bot used by the Devs to fill out the pages. http://compendium.ddo.com/wiki/Speci...ibutions/Admin
