Announcement about DDOcast's future

Well now that Jerr is going to be working for The Man, I officially declare war on him. No more will he be just another player with some insightful views of the game, a casual forum presence, and often the voice of reason. Now he will be Public Enemy No. 1. I have never gotten to run with you, play on a diffrent server. But ddo cast has been a blast to listin to sence about cast number 60. It was one thing i made sure i listined to when i was on vacation and could not get to DDo it allways gave me my ddo fix. Thanks for all of the pod-casts you did and people you helped out in this game.

This is true, I think I'm also going to be in charge of CAUSING lag, so if you experience lag it'll now be my fault.

You know, I still subscribe to to thetheory, that you are real reason there is lagin the game for 2 reasons:

1) Turbine shares CyberEars dedicated DDOCast server, so when people are downloading the show, the Lag increases.

2) Since the shows are so long, the processers for Turbine's servers get overload when Turbine employees are listening to the show at work, and lag increases.

In other words you sures are so awesome the servers can't handle it and Chuck Norris runs away screaming like a little girl because he has finally met his match.

sad to see the show go. I can honeslty say YOU above all else are the #1 reason i keep coming back to ddo everythime i think im done... you make playing the game more fun.

Great work over the years with DDOCast!

Especially through the "Dark" times of DDO. I'm sure you, and all the people assembled with you, are one of the main reasons the game made it through those tuff times.

I suppose that Turbine thought DDOCast was getting to powerful for us adventurers to utilize so in swinging the NERF bat, they take away our favorite podcast voice!


But seriously Jerry, thank you for all the years that I have had the honor of listening to your broadcasts, with a glass of wine in hand, and at times, trying not to spew it all over my monitor or keyboard!

Grats jerry, to land a job in the industry is a dream come true. When we "lost" merlask it was kinda cool to see gamer make it, but i only thought that was a rare one off thing. I see i was wrong.

Now we loose you to - darn turbine stop poaching our good guys

but seriously, enjoy the job, i'll miss the ddocast if it goes. i dont get to hear every episode but what i do get to hear i really enjoy.

Same! DDOCast is the first and only podcast I've listened to, and I've listened to every episode.

Jerry, you have become a big part of my daily routine during the last year and I'll really miss the show (and your cats!). I have in the past thought about how long you'd keep doing DDOCast, but never had I imagined it would end on such a good note. Congratulations and I hope your new job means we can still hear from you in the future.

To Turbine: Never forget or underestimate the value of Jerry's contribution to the game and the community!

Grats Jerry! Turbine should be glad to have you! Although I will miss DDOCast. The other podcasts about DDO, future and existing, will have a tough time picking up the slack - you've set such a high standard. DDO Podcast Dooooom!

Mainly since it seemed that your primary objective always was to provide a good show for your listeners, instead of just being place for you and your pals to goof around, or to be a soap box for you personally. It was obvious that you always put the quality of the show and the enjoyment of your listeners first. Great work, and I selfishly hope Turbine will give you a similar platform in your new job!

This is very true. Out of the three or four DDO related podcasts I've listened to, DDOcast was the clear winner for me. I very much enjoyed the news segments because they weren't laden with opinion and seemed to focus on the facts much like other newscasts do. Jerry, you and your sense of professionalism will be missed.

I submit to you that the ONLY thing Clankenbeard ever did on Jerry's show was goof around. One contrary fact disproves a theory.
