It looks silly. Can we not have such text? Or let it appears at some other place?

Whats your problem with it being there? It's useful to know someone went back and editted their posts sometimes.

Not only do I think we need the text at the bottom of the message, but I think edited text should be bright red (or some other way that would make it easily recognizable).

I think its an issue with vBulletin and can't be changed.
