Default why do we have to wait 7 days to do LR again?

I had choosed some wrong options while LRing and now I want to do LR again. But I cannot until 7 days later.

    Why?

I also have asked about the logic of this with friends. I suggest it be no longer a wait than it is to change enhancements.

One reason may be to stop people from insta-switching from one base class to another base class to TR for the past-life feat.

For example leveling a barb up to cap then switching the majority of levels for pally before TRing.

This could take the spirit of the completionist feat away as you could quickly (though expensively) avoid a class you are unable to play well.

That's the only reason I can think of that makes sense.

It is about the same logic of being unable to swap enhancments or spells for bards/sorcs/Favor souls. If one was able to change their specility and spells to always be perfect for the quest they are running, it would massivly change the balance of power in the game.

Lesser , greater and True Reincarnation takes this a step farther with a requirment of a store/time consuming item to get perform said action. If one performs it , they shouldn't do it on a whim like changing Enchanments. They to KNOW what they are doing the cons/pros of all the choices they make.

But that is just my take on it.

I don't quite understand what you mean.

If people do LR just to get the past life feat of another class, doing once is enough. Why do they have to do twice?

No, he means levelling to 20 as a barb, then switching out 11 levels through 4 LRs to be something else (and wow would that be expensive) to avoid leveling in that class.

Personally I think the money would be enough to stop people from doing that. I think reducing the time to 3 days to match feat and enhancement changes would not be unreasonable.

Agreed and as I suggested above.

Now imagine if Turbine let these same people dump cash doing this over and over, not having taken the time to figure out what they were doing wrong in the first place.

I hate to say it, but maybe it's just a way of saving people from themselves and the customer service reps, "Give me a refund because I screwed up!". If you can only do it once every 7 days, it may make people pause, figure out what they really need to do, and do a bit of research first.
Understood but for the most part, I believe the mistakes one can make re: even one stat point warrant a faster turn around than seven days. The LR function is a big money maker for Turbine IMO and if people want to pay to change their character often, from a commercial sense, it is a no brainer...

That being said, I am for a timer but agree with the OP that seven days is punitive.

    Why?

So you get bored waiting to fix your character and go play some other companys game and pay them money?

Best reason i can think of... it's the new lag control system! make people leave!

Thanks, now I see. Switching out 11 levels cannot be done by LRing only one time.
