    Default The Importance of UMD

    I'm looking at a +4 Mithral Full Plate in the AH with a duration of 2 hours left going for 6k pp. Why? Because it can only be used by halflings. Or someone who took UMD cross-class. Seriously, the UMD DC is 16. 3 ranks and a +13 item saves you over 90k pp! I'm a fan.

    Even if there was sth like a +13 item, as a barb you don't want to waste an item slot for a UMD item...

    And why use a mithral full plate anyway?

    Yes umd is very important. Even more important is the knowledge of what items are available in the game, and how they stack

    - dragontouched armors (personally I chose robes, because of the fast switching)

    Can't you still wear the (hypothetical) UMD item, pass the check, and replace the UMD item with something else?

    I have an easier solution than investing in UMD. I rolled a Halfling barbarian. The best part is that I have my pick of all the RR: Halfling Dwarven Axes

    Although I did use a nice set of +4 Mithril Full Plate of False Life, min level 8, while leveling him up...

    That was changed so you need the UMD active all the time for it stay equipped.

    Umm...you do know that all you need to do is get your UMD up high enough to equip an item and then you can wear it? I use my +3 UMD item from Delera's all the time just to equip some RR boots and bracers.

    That being said I would LOVE a +13 UMD item!!!!

    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
