How are you getting 44 strength at lev 5? This must be for like 1 minute or something.

21 base, +2 enhancement, +2 Ap, +1 Profane, +4 morale, +10 rage, +4 Barb Past Life Rage = 44
Bulls strength would boost this to 46, a +1 tome would hit 47 and a +1 guild shrine would get you 48.

Now usable everyday strength is around 36, rage pot or half orc 50% hp bonus to 38 :P

A non half orc would get...

18 + 3 enhancement + 2 Ap + 1 profane + 2 morale + 9 rage +1 str tome = 34 usable nearly full time, rage pot to 36.

As you can see it's still a (2-4) strength difference between half orcs and everyone else.
