Having 'lost connection' problems since Update 7?

Now that I can get back in the game (see Dev tracker posts 10/20-21) I have been getting kicked off the game frequently, getting 'lost connection' msgs. A few others have said they had similar problems when I did a shout out on Wed pm/Thur am. I've also been experiencing more frequent lag. Has anyone else had similar problems? Please post a reply. One theory is that update 7 requires more RAM and maybe an expansion will solve my problem. Just trying to determine if it's just my machine or something more. Thanks.
UPDATE:
I have been playing with my security/firewall system set on 'game mode'. Most of the time, before update 7, this was fine. NOW, though, if I totally shut down my security software I can play without the frequent lost connection with server messages. There's some occasional lag, but usually not TOO bad. I also plan on expanding my RAM. I'll post another update after that.

For the past few months the game has either been locking up on me or just not letting me log in period. uninstalled it and reinstalling it as i type this ( installed from disk way back when ). Lag has just been horrendous for everyone as of late, but that is more than likely our outdated systems as turbine fixed that
