    ^what he said

I have only two fighter levels in my barb build but especially the haste boost (up to 8 times/rest for your build) is IMO worth to give up the barb capstone (asides from the two extra feats from two fighter levels).

    Cheers

It does seem that way... and I assume is due to the main hand procing the off in scope of relivance to the mobs position.

Or rogue... it is silly to use either fighter or rogue without haste boost - the enhancement is the pull ahead and is what coupled with kensei makes kensei worth anything.

Alacrity (# attacks per sec) is by far the most effective way of boosting DPS, Alacrity is really what made the tempests shine during thier hey-day... and gave the original fighter capstone (when plain gtwf was 132per minute flat back when and capstone = 59 attacks during the time while haste boosted - yes nearly three attacks per second) any attraction what so ever <- double strike was a terrible way of compesation (the decrease to build potential set-back well under 60% of what it was - you would have to average a double strike every 3rd swing to equate to the same damage output 10% alacrity averaged the same time frames... thus the double strike proc chance would have to be 33%.

Take TWF Haste boost IV (30%) 2,38 per second vs non-hasted 1,8 per - those numbers may seem small but while Haste boost is up you get 45,22 attacks vs 36 attack for those non-haste boosted... and this is before any haste spell, where haste boost is stacking (not in normal sense but more like caster enhancements or healing amp) = 52 attacks during the haste boosted period (18.5 seconds).

Back to 2hf ... lack of twitch which yield close to the number of attacks a gtwf was dishing out happers the style some, most people will find in game play against the single target the gtwf on average is a higher dps until you get to epic weapons such as wSoS or antigue greataxe... and here the overall feel in game to me is that still the Pally rules with them due to the extra dice procs from kotc and it's tod sets or ravager set (the highest dps set in game). Barbs still not quite the par as kensei unless you're very meticulous on your gear/weapon choicing... the kensei will produce more dps around on average just due to haste boostings. Tempest is the poor man out... and Str based Assasin with it extreme SA plus capstone is the highest situational and actual peak of the DPS charts.
