Well, I'm very close to level 8 with my Wizard/Rogue build -- Six wizard levels and one rogue level -- And I kind of hit a little snag when adventuring with other players. imo, the wizard is the most diverse character in ddo, you can do so much with the build and still be useful throughout the game.
But one of the problems is that party members expect the wizard to be set one way, and one way only. Now I've played many wizards; used them as firebugs, necros, had them only use rods/staves/great swords/you name it. But my current toon is a wizard/rogue with the double weapon feat- wielding a +4 battle axe and a +3 frost short sword (drow). I also focused on dex rather than intel, although at level 7 my intel is at 23.
My point is, some people are turned off by this build beacuse i'm using melee weapons instead of only shooting spells, and that my intel is fairly low for my level. And so I was wondering if anyone has any advice to share. This is my first time playing this type of toon, so Im always open to criticism and advice.
Oh, and my wizard sucks at rogue skills, so right now he's only great for hiding and silent moves and he's okay at lock picking.
