I tried to get in the half-blood spirit and make a half-elf bard mutt. I tried male and female. Call me vain, but I just couldn't stand to look at them. So, Eriikajoplin was born as a full blooded elven female instead.

I spent over a half hour trying to make a female half-elf somewhat presentable and even my "Beer goggled" eyes could not find them attractive in any way.

Perhaps thats what turbine released the cool looking helmets for ; to cover the ugly mugs of the halfbreeds

Also, they look cartoonish and dont exactly fit in with the graphics of the other races. Vanity or no.

We were in a party to do the WW, and someone joins

Since we had a lot of 1/2 orcs in the party, I rolled the mouse over our party LFM to see what race was this guy from (the one that just joined)

I couldn't recognize the icon, because it's so freaking small (Also, Turbine, both genders seem to share the same icon! At least for half-orcs) so when the guy is close, I clicked the name and look at the orb

"Hey! A female half-orc, cool!"

"I'm a half-elf, lol"

That was just... strange. And also was the only female half elf I've seen, but I wonder if all of them have those spiky jaws with those weird mouths and crooked chins :S

This ^ I spent at least 30 mins trying to get my girl as cute as possible with what I had to work with...I thought a female dwarf was tough...my girl is still weird looking. I don't know if I will be able to play her much.

It also doesn't apply to just the half-elf. The half-orc looks like something out of that other game. I rather like the pseudo-realism of DDO. This is kinda stretching it for me.

I tried, I couldn't do it... I actually spent, I don't even know how long.... I eventually sighed and logged out of ddo... There is no way I could make a half-elf... Maybe they'll release a new race soon 'Less freaking hideous half-elves' I'd pay turbine points for them, I really would...
