Default WAI? Pale Master & Incap

    Hey folks,

Before I bug report this, I thought I'd bounce off the forumites to see if it is WAI.

Was on my Pale Master yesterday, in Lich form, with death aura going. I went incap and I stopped getting healed by my death aura. What's more, although I stabilized, I did not regain heal from unconscious regen.

    Feedback?

    Danke!

I don't know what is intended in DDO, and what is not, but be happy that pale master don't work as in PnP, where all undead are destroyed when they have 0HP .

Getting stuck incap'd as a pale master in form seems like a bug.

My guess is that "unconscious recovery" or whatever it's called is consider a positive energy effect so PM is immune to it while in form. Wasn't an issue before because as soon as lich form timer ran out, you lost 4 con and you immediately died. With permanent forms now, this is something that needs to be addressed.

I'd be fine with this as the solution. When in undead form, you do not go incap, you just immediately die anytime you reach less than 1 hp.

/death does exactly what you're looking for there

And I am sure that if this does not get addressed in a timely fashion, this is exactly the reason that will be used as a justification. Honestly, it would be a lot more convenient if you just died once you reached 0 hp in shroud form.

I'm definitely not saying its a justification, but its got to be better than sitting there doing nothing when theres a rez shrine 2 feet away... hehe.

What they should do is just cancel out the Undead form on incap. Easy peasy. Granted that would still = death in Lich form, but wraiths would still have a chance...

There's also the whole phylactery bit of course if taking things from the lich template. IE- treating your soul-stone as a rez shrine. Granted, I can see a lot of yelling while leveling over that, but at cap, that might actually be of benefit.

I'd assume those would be the people that wanted a chance at incap healing the most!

Weeeellll... the PM I was on is actually a Pale Master / Monk. So if I am looking to stat damage I would *occasionally* use wraith form. MoB wraps + wraith hit con damage. Does some nastiness on some things.

But yes, Lich is much more common. Makes me wonder why both are achieved at the same level.

Edit: Also, wraith form is good when you for the ghost-touch effect. Again, purely melee.
