Please split the class forums into REAL subcategories this is a jumbled mess.
Okay, I love you Turbine, but you really need to work on actually testing things.
These kinds of shortcuts are okay, so long as you fix issues that would be caused by the shortcuts.
Like, for instance, having it cause both the "drink" effect and the appropriate "oil" effect as well. That way, fleshies don't get affected by the oil, and WF aren't affected by the drink, and everyone is happy.
There. That's how you take a shortcut without causing too many problems.

Hey Devs! Let's give Warpriests and Eldritch Knights some loving, kay? :<
also they probably should NOT use the drink effect. It's really annoying. I do use the sound, and most people at least listen to sound effects. . . Why couldn't they just make repeating divine vitality I and divide it by 5 or 6. Whoever currently owns DDO really need to learn the code better.
Also, they need to give us some way to make it better if they aren't going to change it from it's current state. otherwise it's just useless as I become higher level. At the moment, the base spellpoints it gives is 110-115. My recent test with lingering song III (1 stage below final IV) gave 180sp. Given how slow it goes, I'm finding less reason to put up with the constant dings as no good group i've run across has needed it.
For example, I ran madstone crater today, and it was obvious some of us never did it before. The song helped, but a few of us died along the way anyways and everyone was just like "oh now I don't have to use one of the hundred pots I carry around because Im bad at conserving SP". however, just a couple levels ago with similarly leveled characters, no one needed pots because we all knew what to kill first... and this was on hard and elite. This recent group was struggling on normal! It was trecherous. Of course, I was the main healer despite having a cleric, but I am used to that... we struggled with SP, even with my songs. . . but they just barely didn't have to pop their pots. . . There were times when we almost did, but the casters at the very end learned how to conserve by the time it was useless and we were fighting hordes on the way to the end boss.
I feel madstone crater is a prime example for this song as it's a pretty long quest with an average amount of shrines for one of it's length. It is a prime example of a quest which would benefit from Spellsong Vigor. It's long enough that we might expect some SP to drop low, but not so long that I'd never have enough songs to use it. Also, i probably would not (I was the only bard). I gimped along with good hope and greater heroism instead of inspire courage (which was fine, because the 2 melee: ranger and barbarian had no trouble downing things) yet I still ran out of songs at one point with elyd edge in my offhand. But it was mainly the casters who were pretty bad at SP conservation. So again, it helped in this very specific circumstance; but a incredibly rare circumstance it is nonetheless.
It would be nice if this song scaled with performance skill just like the random DV mass.

Another problem with that song is it shows up in the bards combat log every time someone regenerates 2 sp from the song...this really doesnt need to be in the combat log.
I tried it last night in TOD and found it was not working on the wf casters also. It seemed the one mass song that gives a chance to give a mass regen works (although it happens so fast wasnt sure for the wf arcanes). However, I tried several times to sing the song that gives an individual target mana regen and it would only work on fleshies not wf. One of the players in the group stated it worked on him when he was on a wf fvs in shroud, so perhaps it is just the wf arcanes that are bugged.

nope, doesnt work on wf fvs (divine)
Unfortunately the song works like inspire competence you have to select one person to use it,only the sp burst part work like a AoE.
Yeah...i'm know.
trolling happy people flaming.
Tested it on a WF FVS, and it does not work. He was probably thinking of the AOE proc. WF do get the proc, no matter what class, but they don't get the spellsong vigor SP tick.
It works a little like the Cleric's Divine health, but Divine health gives 1-3 HP per tick, spellsong vigor gives you 2 SP per tick. It is not a tavern drink. It is not a mneumonic enhancement potion. It is nothing like it. The sound effect sounds similar, but so do the regular heals. And since Warforged would have an Artificial Intelligence, it is possible for an AI to be effected by emotion and the likes of music. Have you ever seen Electric Dreams?

Jaggie, the warfrog, would very much like it if her spiffy new songs would actually inspire her fellow warfrogy friends and even herself into regaining back the juice it takes to pump out a fire ball or two. The songs work great on meatbags so why can't they work on buckets of bolts?
I keep feeling like it's a waste of an enhancement for my main character. Sure it's great to have and it's been really helping out the spell casters of my groups but it's not being used to it's full potential, all because it isn't placing it's ability onto warforged characters.
If I can fascinate a construct why can't I also inspire it?

Any chance a Dev could comment on this phenomenon ?
