Game Error [201]

I am running XP. After this last update I am unable to log on.

My c:\Program Files\Turbine folder is read only. I try to make it read/write but it keeps resetting back to read only.

I saw there was a thread about this back in September but I did not find an Official Turbine response to how to correct this.

Help needed.

Same problem, I changed my folder to read/write, and it didn't do anything. I've also looked at about every thread on every forum google can find about this error and no one has found a fix other than using the Turbine Download Manager. Which I no longer have. A fix would be great.

Edit:
Make sure you have these files in your DDO folder.
client_Anim
client_cell_1
client_gamelogic
client_general
client_local_enlgish
Client_map1
client_mesh
client_surface
Client_sound.dat
I found I'm missing client_surface so I need to reinstall.. Will post if it works.

hi! since the update 7 i cant log in anymore it says d3dx9_42.dll not found .any one having this probleme? i did the update on both my pc but same thing.what should i do?

It worked
Also, do not run the launcher as administrator, run it as a normal user. Setting up a new user account as a normal user may help if it does not work on the administrator account.

I still can't log on. With three VIP accounts, you have my money for the next six months but I not getting what you say I am paying for.

Where be the DDO Tech support folks on this?
