Default Graphics choppy slow with Update 7

Eagerly waited for Update 7, downloaded updates about an hour ago. Rebooted and logged in, was asked if i wanted to use direct X 11, selected yes. UI logged in and took a while to load my characters, only have six. At first my mouse cursor moved really slow and laggy, figured it was a graphic problem with direct X 11, so i endured the wait for lag feeling, and selected prior Direct X 10. Restarted DDO, Great improvement in speed, but still slow, DX10 still gives me about a 1 to 2 seconds delay when clicking or hovering over UI button. Weird, so i decided to try DX9, no change.
Checked my processor and graphics card to make sure no settings have been changed. All the same.
Tried the update on my desktop which is less powerful than my laptop but there is nothing wrong with ddo on my desktop, although desktop does not have DX11 option.

Well, they mention something about DirectX 10/11 having problems.

    Copy & Pasted

Known Issue: Black Screen With Visible UI: Some Intel users may find that when DirectX 10 is enabled, only their UI is visible and the rest of their screen is black. If this occurs, we recommend you disable DX10, enable DX9, and restart the game client.
In case you didn't already notice, my posts that end with must NEVER EVER, under any circumstances, be taken seriously.

I'm also experiencing lag (game actually freezes for about a second or two every six to 10 seconds and id quite frankly unplayable at this point) - also the music is loops over and over again I'm using DirectX9 on XP SP3. Pentium 4 2.8GHz. 3GB RAM. Before the update 7 it was running fine.

I have the same problem, but really worst, after the update, upgraded directx9.c to last version (July 2011 I thing ). Passed the black screen problem in charater selection, but trying to log in cost me about 20 mins,,,,once in game I spend 40 mins more to go from The ever full flagon to kundarack bank!!!

( I do so in directx9, and the lowest posible grafical settings)

I want to ask if the minimun required equipment has been changed .

Also, the exact minimun Directx DLL needed to run the game.

    Thanks for your time

Still having the same problems. I installed version 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) of directX 9 and that didn't seem to fix anything. However I turned off hardware acceleration and in the low quality graphics settings it ran fine. I'd prefer it if a patch was available to fix this, but until then this will have to do.
