I'm still getting the "rays" mostly from weapons and once from an NPC's eyes... that one was wierd... but so far as I can tell it's pretty much anything that can set it off, but once set off, it seems to be associated with the particular item, feature, etc. For example, in Sorrowdusk, was running by one of the lamp-post looking things on the way to greymoon, and noticed a ray shooting from one of the posts, turned, and the same glitch was coming off another identical post, though at a different angle.
I'll be waiting until tomorrow to worry about anything else. There's a downtime and bug fix scheduled, so we'll see if it clears this up too.
