Half Orc to inviting for Barbarian?

WF is still the master race, IMHO.

They don't drown +

They don't get poisoned +

They don't get diseased +

They don't get exhausted after raging =

Great DPS for less plat, less clickie management.

WF: For when you just wanna run headlong into mobs and swing until they're dead.

Barbarians: Why do we run headlong into mobs? Because we just drank an expensive rage pot that only lasts 90 seconds.

MIN2 GA + 700 HP + healers' friend...what could possibly go wrong!? =)

More importantly they are immune to paralyzing effects and can be healed by sorc and wiz on top of bard, clr and fvs.

However, most of the wf percs can be obtained by non wf characters via equipment...

Right now i'm playing a THF dwarf Barbarian and i love her to bits, cant remember i ever had more fun in a game then this.

I am feeling abit split though, the new Half Orcs seem to be the vastly superior race for barbarians and since i already promised myself i will TR my current Barbarian into a new THF Barb for the perks i'm starting to feel like instead of making another -AWESOME- dwarf i am now pretty much forced to make a Half Orc just because making any other barb seems a waste with such powerfull racials.

How much will the racials matter in the end? Should i be worried or can i just enjoy playing dwarf barbarian for another 20 levels without feeling guilty towards my party for not doing the absolute best i can?

I don't want to sound harsh at all, but if you don't mind HO, by all means go there, but if you love dwarves, you should 100% TR into a dwarf again. Con ain't nothin ta sneeze at, and dwarves are 10/10 for style. Plus, all this time WF have been much better for barb (extra PA, immunity to exhaustion) than dwarves, but you kept the faith and your stalwart dwarf (full disclosure, guess which race my tempest ranger is? ).

When i first started I read forums a LOT, and ended up buying the WF race for a wiz. Which i never seemed to end up playing. And I'm kind of turned off toasters, tbh. HO now, i am digging stylewise, for all its limitations.

Before this turns into a "Cool Story, Bro" post, i'm just telling you to pick what makes you happy

since you are a dorf i say yes go ho, but if you were a wf you might reconsider cause wf will still be the highest survivability in a barb, ho will never beat them, all ho will have is more dps but imo a dead barbarian does 0 dps.

Eh? No.

Human is by far the best race for survivability for barbs. And HO beats WF.

That fatique is a real pain though

I thought barbarians stopped getting fatigued after level 17? So that's not really an issue long-term even if you stay dwarf

I was thinking of going half-orc barbarian in my next TR, but if Brute-fighting doesn't work when you're raged, then I may just stick with dwarf myself...
