    Default Bard/Sorc

Has anyone ever put together a Bard/Sorc build? I'm sure they have, but is it any good?

I would be curious to see one if anyone has one. (Share plz )

The thought just popped into my mind that it would be a good mix, but I'm new enough that it may have just been a bad idea.

    thanks

I haven't tried one, but I don't see much synergy there. Both are highly back-loaded classes. They do not make for good splashes. Bard suffers greatly from less than 14 levels, and Sorc suffers significantly from less than 18.

If you want to be a self-healing Sorc, go WF, or splash Rogue for Evasion and UMD. Even without the splash, with half-ranks in UMD, you should be able to get Heal scrolls without too much work, if you put as much as possible in CHA.

A friend of mine had a lot of fun playing a Bard with just a single level of Sorcerer. This gave him a whole lot of extra SP and an extra spell or two early on, and then played the toon as a Bard. The toon was a success in the early levels, but then began to be less viable as it got to the later levels. He did say that it was a lot of fun to play, and he ended up keeping it as a hagglebot toon.

Yeah, the Bard capstone is absolutely great for a caster Bard. Definitely better than the few SP and level 1 spells a level of Sorc gives.

I have a mutt bard/sorc/2rogue(evasion/traps/locks), I took to higher levels of both. I can say its a lot of fun using Magic Missle and Sonic attacks while hacking away as a DPS build. I would usuaully be behind the tank and normal dps types in kills, but not by much. As a mutt though you sacrifice your song and will lag behind in higher level spells of both classes. When I do it over I'll dump the rog and see if that helps but I'm pretty sure thats the sacrifice.
