Default Provide an option to join Raids when on timer but forego all loot

have an option to do raid quests when on timer but without gaining loot from chests/end reward

So you can play with your friends/help people out but not exploit the timer mechanic.

This suggestion is pro-fun and has no drawbacks other than probably awkward coding.

One potential down-side. It give people the ability to "sell" completions to others. By allowing the best geared characters to repeat indefinitely, for example, you could essentially guarantee 15 minute shroud/ToD/Abbot completions--over and over again all day. That would be worth a lot of plat.

if you're one of the "best geared" characters then you probably don't need plat.

You don't generate loot. No one can assign you loot. (Basically, you're locked out of the chests). Your counter doesn't increment.

That'd work for me. (Well, I mean the timer is annoying in the first place, but to leave the devs intentions in place...)

Or.... if you want to run a raid with your friends.... wait and run a raid with your friends. Oh... another thing you can do... roll an alt so when you run a raid with out your friends, you have an alt on stand by to run a reaid WITH your friends.

That's what I would do... if I had firends that is...

    doesn't count for completions
    no loot
only repair bill and usage of consumables

    sounds nice

    No.

The benefit of this mechanic is small compared to the Dev time that would be wasted making it happen.

    Out of alts?

Make a new character or run a different raid.

    Default Something similar

I had posted something similar to this (probably in the wrong forum) here. Long story short, during your raid timer, completions don't count toward your multiple of 20 and the chests are just ransacked after opening them once for the desired time (the length of the timer). The actual work should be much less than you're thinking, Waukeen, since ransacked chests are already in the game and it would be a slight modification to the current mechanic and not adding the number into the completions should be fairly easy to implement.
