    Default Windows 7 upgrade question

Ok well I finally updated my desktop from Vista to 7 (been wanting to do this for awhile but was toying with rebuilding a new system or just foregoing it for now). Got it all up and running and went to start the game client and now it's downloading about 2500 files, so my question is: Is there a certain set of .dat files for Win 7 systems vs Vista systems or did I lose some files for some odd reason when I upgraded the OS?

I suppose it doesn't really matter either way as long as it downloads and plays afterwards but just curious if anyone else ran into the same thing when upgrading OS.

don't think there is any difference in the DAT files, I run the client on a USB drive and they all work the same. Might want to check where your DDO folder is and try running the EXE manually.

If you moved from 32 to 64 bit, the program install folder changes to Program Files (x86), as DDO is a 32-bit application.

No it was 64 bit to start with. Everything seems to be running fine it was just more of a question of, is there additional files that were needed to run it on Win 7 vs Vista or did I lose some files when I switched over. Again it's running fine so I guess it is technically a moot point.

I just upgraded to 7 as well with a faster harddisk for the update and I didn't notice a difference at all, however the isntaller is new and works differently than before, this is what you may be noticing.
