Default Quest End Reward based on Class

I am levelling up a Warforged Barbarian, have had the End Reward Based on Class checked the entire time he has been around, for the past 2 days most of my end rewards have been stuff that not only can a warforged not use but a barbarian can't use as well.

Here is a suggestion if it could be done actually base end rewards on class, and if possible race, no more of the Full Plates for a WF Barb.

They are typically limited to item types that your primary class qualifies for, but it doesn't mean they'll be useful for your build. For example you shouldn't be seeing Heavy Armors on a Barbarian end reward list. It sounds like something might be broken for you.

You can turn this into money on the right classes. Some are better off turning off class based end rewards, but there are some gems that will pop up more often if you leave it on.

    * Mithril Fullplates, Barbarian. Mostly around level 10, pulling a plain ML 6 or 8 +5 will net you a pile of cash.
    * Light Mithril armors, Ranger/Rogue. Around level 10 again looking for +5 with no mods and/or race restrictions.
    * Rapiers, Rogue. All levels, most of the smiting/banishing/WoP rapiers I've pulled have come from leveling a single rogue to 20 compared to 4 years of playing.
    * Exotic melee weapons, Fighter. Mostly early levels. Looking for good khopeshes and dwarven axes. Lots of money for min level 2 elemental stuff.

If you don't have a good chance of pulling interesting end rewards based on your class (oh god, the complaints I used to hear from Sorcs) turn it off and just take the Major Mnemonic each time. Crazy good cash for a pile of those.

That quest does not have a normal random end reward selection.

Some of the newer quests don't seem to actually pay attention to that check mark.

The exclamation points on those item icon are to indicate that they are SUPER AWESOME!, and that you should pick them up and use them.

What sorc wouldn't roll around in banded mail, dual-wielding dwarven axes?

I also seem to recall the Devs saying that leaving it checked meant you were more likely to receive things useful to your particular class, but that there was still some randomness to it. That's been a long time ago though, so I could be wrong.

    Keep it off, problem solved.
In case you didn't already notice, my posts that end with must NEVER EVER, under any circumstances, be taken seriously.

If you are a Monk, turn this on, and (almost) always take the best handwraps and sell them on the AH.

If you are a non-Monk, turn this off.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

    True.
It's not that I cant appreciate it, and I know I'm going to draw flak for actually expecting DDO to do as it says, but you know, it would be a refreshing change.
