I open up my owen LFM range 16 to 20 on norm........any one remembers when max LVL was 16 and we did run Elite? I avoid the Beater be Expirienced, no Noobs lfm`s.............

Did Vod yesterday and me ( Cleric lvl20 ) and a friend ( Cleric lvl 15 ) where healers when a Barb Toster start to complain " We nead Third Healer" afther last spot was filled whit a Melee he Told us that he will quit bc we to low on Heals. I Kiked him, did ge a Ranger insted and we did a smooth VOD and i have one more on the ignore list.....


Challange is fun i say!

shroud on norm with a lv 17-20 lfm does not require link beaters... seeing as ive PUGed about 13 now, and none of them failed. I mean, its a lv 16 normal quest, not that difficult. even if a person or two doesnt have beaters, he will realize he is doing no damage and get better stuff next time, and harry is still easily killable

on elite is a different matter though...

Ooooo a new screenie. I need to make one one day. After I make a ton more dual shards... so much GS to make and so few larges.

I totally agree with the shuriken thing my lvl 20 monk on cannith Haons has one that looks just like that and the larges were definitley worth it.

I agree that if a person or two don't have beaters, it's not big deal. The problem is when 6-7 don't. It has happened to me once, and it is something I would rather avoid.

Once the pug is filled with at least 3-4 good dps people that I know, then sure, I take anybody.

How in the lawful evil hell did you manage to pug 13 shrouds in a row without failure? Congrats on your win streak, keep it going!

And yeah, elite is a whole new deck of cards for me. I thought at one time or another, someone sent me a /tell for a shroud on elite, but declined the offer, thinking that they were joking on a run like that. Whether or not it was a joke still remains a mystery...

I'm a wizard with a monk splash for evasion and have the following shroud weapons:

1. +1 Holy Handwraps of Greater Evil Outsider Bane w/ Icy Burst and Force combined with Holy Burst and Shocking Burst TOD rings
2. +2 Metalline Handwraps of Bleeding w/ Icy Burst and Force combined with Holy Burst and Shocking Burst TOD rings (added extras just for the heck of it)
3. +5 Greater Construct Bane Handwraps w/ Icy Burst and Force (added extras just for the heck of it)
4. Lit II Shuriken

If needed I can also pull out two kamas: Cursespewing of Improved Destruction + Destruction or Tendon Slice 10%. When I'm casting I'll use my Superior Potency VI Kama w/ Superior Glacation IX added (unless I feel like enabling the sash clickie) + Major Ice Lore Kama...or Concordant Opposition Kama w/ 50% Healing Amp and +3 Exceptional Intelligence TOD ring and Vibrant Purple Ioun Stone w/ Spell Penetration IX when WoB/FoDing mobs.

Because we all know how difficult shroud is and the necessity of inventory checks to avoid failure, I humbly request you show me 'link beaters' responses. Bonus points if you're a paladin and it isn't a holy sword blank.

As for those referencing the original Shroud, I too remember running it But don't forget that now, many things have changed - I think... I don't doubt that they've beefed up a lot of things in the shroud! What they are exactly I can't attest to, but it did seem harder after we went "Live." So I'm pretty sure it's not exactly the way it was way back then!

Anyway - when we run "Teaching Shrouds" - where we've tried to help people learn the quest, we always say: "If you don't know the quest, speak up. We're just trying to help." Or something to that effect, we've always ran into those zergers, pikers, etc! They are either unwilling, unable, or are just plain lazy to listen, communicate or do anything but zerg; and 90% of the time they don't say anything. I'm sure it's those people whom are being 'filtered out' by the LFM requirements.

You may have easily done it on elite with lvl 16's in the past, but nowadays we get people rushing to complete vale quests just to do shroud with minimal gear and the biggest problem is with wrong attitudes/carelessness/lack of preparedness.

This is an important point. When the cap was 16, people had been at 16 for a while and spent the time grinding gear since they couldn't get more xp. An average level 16 character nowadays has not had the time to grind out all the content because if they did they would have xp to be higher level...
