I've been grinding out some non-complete shrouds on my new barb, he's level 15. For some reason noone wants to take a level 15 barb into a shroud... 500 HP and a Harry beater isn't enough.

I suppose theres always room for that 250 HP Rogue without a beater though.

Not to burst the bubble but all for those are actually pretty bad. Icy does nothing so its moot really. A simple met of pg will out dps the banes. Onther than a B toon there is no reason evn the average player cant have a min 2

Hmm, and how does a player that has not run the Shroud get a mineral II weapon? Tough to get those Power Shards on the AH.

At least, notajedi has some sort of Greater Evil Outsider Bane.

You know, thinking that as the cleric I did NOT need to bring a portal beater.

why not? did you assume that as a cleriuc you derserve to pike the first part? turn on your aura and swing away. it isn't like the portals hit back and you need to heal anybody.

I managed to beg my way into shroud runs with my Barb at level 13 and made my MinII on my 3rd run through. Even after that it was hard to get in ... you just need to grease the star with kind tells and promises of not being a noob.

It's fun to guess the number of rounds part 4 will take based on the drop speed of portals in part 1.

Just out of curiousity, why did you start doing vale at 13? Seems like a waste of xp.

Well, for me, they've been noncompletions - just farming shards and ingredients. I've been running Shroud since 14 (at least the 1 out of 4 that will let me in).

PS my Clonk has 2 Metalline/PG kamas and 2 construct bane kamas (one normal, one greater).

You laugh but my rogue does have a metalline/PG returning throwing dagger. I mean, she's also got a holy silver deception rapier, a holy cold iron deception rapier and a M/PG shortsword for the offhand, but I actually DO use the dagger in DQ ...

The exact point I was going to make. Lets say its my 'A' toon. My A toon is still L13. So I have to level it up to Shroud level, and then, based on my very limited and confused understanding of how the crafting works in this game (which seems inexplicably complex), I have to run Shroud a few times to get my DR beater I'm allowed to, um... run Shroud? You what now? Baking powder?

That was another point in here I always find funny. The casters that stand outside the party and "watch"..... Sure, your damage is not "needed" do not kid yourself into thinking it is, but why not attack it? why not add a little more damage to the pile? what exactly makes that difficult? afraid the portal might hit back? To hard to cast and swing at the same time? Too poor to buy something that can hurt a portal?

I realize it is a super small thing, but we run it enough times, we might as well eek out any small advantages we can.

Pretty sure on normal a +3 gbane is just as good as a met of pg. If not just as good, just as good enough considering the price some think met of pg is worth.
