Yes it will work with Monk weapons

Might want to go with a WF or HOrc instead. Both of those races have Enhancements that add plus to hit and/or damage.

Without any tomes, Dwarf is currently the only race able to get Void Strike IV.
I don't remember what H-Orc's penalized stat is, but if it's WIS they won't be able to as well.
If it's CHA, like I think it is, then they will be able to, but they will still be P2P.

So someone that has 32pt build no other races and can't rely on tomes (which sometimes people forget can be difficult for your first or second char) and they won't Void Strike IV, you have to go dwarf

Halforcs start with +2 STR, -2 INT, -2 CHA

Wisdom is normal
